Latin American harpist and poet  El Condor, Ricardo  García-Curbelo  returns  to Cardiff.

He made his Welsh debut at the World Harp Festival in Cardiff back in 1991 and is delighted to perform this concert in April at the Norwegian Church. A colourful musical journey through Latin America, not to be missed!

His programme includes a variety of traditional pieces and a whole new range from his own compositions. Harp, cuatro, maracas and vocals will be demonstrated with a sparkling virtuosity

Ricardo García-Curbelo, poet El Cóndor, has been playing music, composing and writing poetry and songs from an early age. His skilful representations, nationally as internationally, of Latin American music and poetry culture on a variety of stages - radio & TV, educational institutions, festivals, concerts and charity performances, to name but a few - made him  known for his passionate, gifted way of communicating with the public and also honoured on many occasions. In the UK he has shared the stage with different accomplished stage performers from around the world and his spellbinding routines have earned him many compliments:

His brilliant musicianship that night earned him a lot of respect and a lot of new fans for South America’s Joropo music. (Taplas magazine)

Music, passion and virtuosity on stage. (Theatro Technis, London)

He has got to be seen to be believed  (Time Out magazine)

Indeed, Ricardo invariably offers most of us here in Europe a very different, rhythmic and exciting experience of harp music. Poetical compositions such as The Homo sapiens Dream, a universal musical poem that brings today’s Latin American music and poetry to a new dimension. This dramatic poetical progressive interpretation of human evolution has captivated audiences. The Homo sapiens Dream is one of his more recently recorded CDs. He has just finished his last record, a single of tropical music which includes Brazil Brasil a gesture of solidarity to Brazil for the next Olympics.                                                                                                                                                      (The Latin American Professionals)
